Overview

The valley of Orient is an oasis of peace and tranquility surrounded by nature: olive trees, oak forests, aromatic herbs and a varied vegetation which is unique to this valley. It was precisely the beauty of this valley that motivated Don Feliu de Cabrera back in the 1950′s, to convert the 400 year-old stately home into a wonderful monastery.

Nowadays L’Hermitage consists of a main living area with an oil mill, a tower, annexes which are bedrooms, a herb garden. All of this comprises a beautiful estate.

L’Hermitage has 20 bedrooms and offers an excellent service as a 4 star hotel demands. Many of the rooms are decorated in Mallorcan style, some of them with fireplaces, antique furniture, terraces, air conditioning, direct access to the garden and spectacular views of the Alfabia mountain range.

Without doubt, you will be seduced by the harmony of this very special place. A place where, long ago, travelers would stop and enjoy the hospitality provided by the monks.

The restaurant of L’Hermitage has the privilege of being located inside one of the most beautiful oil mills of Mallorca. Where years ago the oil used to be pressed, guests can now sit back and be wined and dined with the exquisite dishes and international cuisine. If you wish to enjoy the fresh air and the countryside you may also have your meal on the patio which overlooks spectacular stone arches and the tower which in bygone days was used as a water tank.

Apart from the two tennis courts, the sauna and the swimming pool there is also Wellness en Suite: Aromatherapy, massages and facial treatments.

This is also an ideal place for walking, taking in the spectacular views, and the paths start from the hotel. You’ll find several locked gates going into the neighboring fields and the keys are available upon request.

One of the favorite itineraries is the one that goes to the Alaró Castle or the finca Es Verger; these are real beauty spots and the views are breathtaking. Do not forget to bring comfortable footwear.

The prices are for two people including breakfast and government taxes (10% VAT). Balearic Eco-tax of 2.20 Euros per person and day is not included in the price.
