Santa Maria del Cami Market, Mallorca

Posted: Wednesday, 27th February 2019

The location of the beautiful village of Santa Maria, bordered by the Tramuntana mountains, means that the landscape is a haven for growing fresh produce. The region is famous for its wines, liqueurs, almond trees and carob trees.

As a result, a huge market takes place on Sundays from early morning until around 2pm, featuring stunning fresh fruit and vegetables from nearby farms – see picture of berries above as an excellent example.

It really takes eating locally and with few food miles to a whole new level. If you are staying at an apartment in Mallorca then make the most of the kitchen facilities by stocking up at the market and feasting in the comfort of your accommodation.
